Thanks! You took the challange. Bring Your Party to Our Party

We had the most amazing costumes at the festival this year. The judges had the hardest job ever deciding who was the best and there could only be one winner. Congratulations goes to the 'Alice in Wonderland' group- Alice in Wonderland is one of the most well known 'Tea Party' stories of all time . Well done guys! The prize was a trip for two to the Gold Coast with three nights accommodation and airport transfers.

The next Wildfoods Festival will be held in Hokitika on the 12th March 2011, so start thinking now how YOU could be the winners of this great competition.

See you there.

Dear Subscriber,

The Wildfoods Festival was ‘totally, off the hook, awesome’ this year.

We had the lady who came up with the original idea, Claire Bryant, who officially opened the Festival, followed by a stirring speech from His Excellency, Anand Satyanand, New Zealand’s Governor General.

Shortly after that, the gathered audience was thrilled with the Red Checkers doing their best to carve up the sky.

There was plenty of weird and whacky food to be eaten and one of the stalls: ‘Udderly Divine Desserts’ took out three awards on the day with their ‘creation’ of colostrum based foods. Well done girls!!!

The entertainment this year was ‘rock your socks off’ stuff. We have had so many positive comments on the calibre of the bands and solo artists we had to entertain the many assembled and we are already on the way to booking some great entertainment acts for the 2010 Wildfoods Festival.

Andrew McLaughlin, a hard-case Irishman, from Christchurch couldn’t believe it when we rang him to tell him he had won the Photo Competition – he was more than happy to walk away with the $500 first prize though. Check out the website www.wildfoods.co.nz to see all the place getters.

The photo competition was so successful that we are running it again next year – so dust off the Box Brownie and bring it with you.

Which leads me quite nicely into the 2010 theme:
