Mowing and Spraying

Transit New Zealand is responsible for the maintenance of road berms on State Highways. For berms on Council roads, responsibility lies with the adjoining property owner. The Council will spray parts of road frontages once a year unless requested not to by the adjoining property owner. Council also mows a 1.5m (approx) strip along some roads for safety purposes.
